Coast Live Music was created with the idea of connecting the many wonderful things that exist within our community. It is amazing to consider what this area has to offer, and CLM strives to bring these elements together. The natural beauty which surrounds us here is simply breathtaking. No matter what season it may be, it always looks stunning. There is no more inspiring backdrop than this for music to be experienced, and even more so in an intimate venue where the connection between artist and audience is unwavering.
Coast Live Music understands that the role music plays in our lives is integral and vital to keeping ourselves whole. Music has been proven to comfort and aid those who are suffering – everything from symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease, chronic ailments, and mental health issues. And exposing the very young to classical music has been documented to help develop language skills, reasoning, and spatial intelligence.
This is why bringing music into our surrounding area schools, senior homes, cancer wards, and prisons is a deeply important part of CLM’s mission. Many prominent and talented musicians have developed an educational aspect to their performing career, signaling an awareness of how crucial this type of outreach is. This educational and community outreach facet is paramount to our purpose.
